Entrance and Exit Counseling
Entrance Counseling will walk you through the Direct Loan process and explain your rights and responsibilities as a borrower. If you have not previously received a particular loan type (subsidized/unsubsidized or PLUS), under the Direct Loan Program or Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) Program, the Federal Government requires you to complete loan counseling to ensure that you understand the responsibilities and obligations you are assuming. Before you withdraw, graduate, or drop below half-time attendance (regardless if you plan to transfer to another school), regulations require that you complete an exit counseling session for your Federal Stafford Loan (subsidized or unsubsidized) and Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans. The counseling session provides information about how to manage your student loans after college. To complete Exit Counseling please click here https://www.nslds.ed.gov/nslds_SA/SaEcWelcome.do
